At iCAN one of the personal goals that we encourage our learners to show most is risk-taking. This allows them to learn from their mistakes, in a growth mindset approach, and gain confidence by trying new things-even if they may appear scary at first. Year 5 certainly showed that they could come out of their comfort zones, and take a huge risk, in this amazing drumming performance during their class assembly last month.
MP3 concluded their Mission to Mars unit yesterday with a fun quiz against the parents. They had to use all of their knowledge from this learning block to show the families what they had learnt.

A huge thank you to all the learners, the iCAN team, and to all of the families in our community. Maths Day was a fantastic success yesterday, raising $750 for the two designated charities; Free the Bears Cambodia and WIRES (Wildfire Information, Rescue and Education Service) in Australia. The money raised will be shared equally between these two charities to help support animals in need. The learners were incredibly entrepreneurial and designed, made and sold out of their amazing products across the board!
