Music in the garden from a very talented iCAN learner...
It was wonderful to welcome back one of our previous learners who left iCAN over seven years ago! She recently completed a course in music production in Melbourne and wanted to come by and share her songs with us. Our learners thoroughly enjoyed a lunchtime serenade in the garden and loved listening to her performing her music. We have many returning learners who come back to iCAN decades later, who are eager to say hello to our current staff team and to reminisce about their time here with such fond memories.

Wake Up Shake Up on the MP3 Roof Court
Wake up and Shake up happens every Tuesday to Friday morning before the start of the school day, and lasts between 5 – 10 minutes. We believe that it has the following impact on our learners:
• Enjoyment of school life and a sense of well-being
• Improved self-esteem
• Improved rhythm and timing
• Improved concentration and application to tasks immediately after the brief exercise session
• Increase stamina
• Improved behaviour
Star of the week LB4 Week 1
For being so kind to her friend when she was feeling sad and giving a hug and saying to her friend it’s going to be all good and mummy will come back soon. Well done for being so generous.
For a fantastic first week in Reception. It has been great to see you becoming more confident and playing respectfully with your friends. Well done!
For being a fantastic enquirer during our science lesson and identifying lots of push and pull forces. Well done!
For amazing resilience in maths when multiplying and dividing. You were able to tackle some really tricky learning! Well done!
For being a great thinker working out 2 digit x 1 digit mental multiplication and a communicator acting as the slow and steady tortoise.
For starting LB4 with an incredibly positive learning attitude, working hard and showing such resilience.
For being a thoughtful, cooperative and supportive teammate during the Going Global entry point and an excellent Sage in the maths partner work.
For making a tremendously positive start to the year through your risk taking in Literacy.
